What is Lulu Cthulhu? Besides being the name of our main character it is the unholy union of Lovecraftian Horror and Magical Girl’s Manga in one adorably deplorable package. The story follows the adventures of Lulu and her friends, Emily Postmortem and Sparkle StarSpawn as they fight to destroy Love and Justice in the name of Evil. Unfortunately (for them) and fortunately (for the rest of us) they aren’t very good at it… yet. ^_^

This comic is sort of a just for fun project for me right now so when work is busy updates can be infrequent. It’s a labor of love though so be assured the story will continue!

Neko’s Animation Job!

Hi everyone! Sorry there aren’t any new pages up yet. I got a new freelance gig doing animation for a TV pilot which is pretty cool, unfortunately it’s eating up a lot of time that I’d normally spend working on the comic. For the next couple weeks I won’t be able to update as frequently as I’d like to. The comic is not going on hiatus or anything so please don’t take the “Next Update: July 8th” thing as a definite, I’ll probably have the next page up a lot sooner just not sure when. As soon as things level out with the new job I’ll be right back to it! In the meantime I’ll be working on some much needed upgrades to the site such as a comment system and additional content.

Sorry for the delay. I really really appreciate your readership and I hope you’ll stick with me during this slow period.

Server Issues

Sorry for the lateness of this page, I’ve been having server problems since last night. It’s been everything from not being able to upload the new page to the site simply being down and my hosting provider doesn’t have much support for their servers as it turns out. Anyway, it’s been fixed now, yay!!!! Hope you enjoy the new page, more to come on a normal pace (server willing 0_~) next week.

I’m off to Anime Central this weekend where I’ll once again be sharing a table with the Cream-of-Mushroom-Souptacular Mayor Randy Field of problemtown.com. I’m also going to be participating in the Khaotic Kouture fashion show this year as part of the Steampunk category, which I’m really excited about. My friend and super-talented artist, Lauren will be filling in for me on Saturday morning while I’m at the fashion show. She’s really nice, you should talk to her! It’s gonna be a really fun show, if you happen to be there stop by Artists’ Alley and say ‘hi’ (I’m at booth #12). I’ll also have the badge ribbons there so if you want one just ask. Sorry I had to push this week’s update back. -_-0 I hate to do it but I’ve just got too much work to finish off before Acen and Anime North. Maria, I know you’re dying to see what comes after “Thoom” and I’m leaving you hanging on that. It’s just that I’m a horrible person, you see! ^_^

If I can get my other stuff done fast enough I’ll update earlier (Tuesday or Wednesday maybe?), but I can promise you things will be back on track next week. Thank you for your patience!

Penguicon

Had a terrific time at Penguicon in Troy, MI last weekend! It was the first con this year where I haven’t had a table or anything so I could just wander and enjoy the con, and I thoroughly did.

On Friday night I went to the launch party for Gozer Game’s game, “Vampire Werewolf Fairies”. It’s a very fun and funny card game which I had the pleasure of doing some illustrations for and it just went on sale this past weekend, yay! The party was great but unfortunately I was really tired so I ended up going to bed early. Saturday I went to lots of panels and then the debut performance of a cool new band called Silent Nightmare. They have a really neat operatic metal sound which reminds me a lot of Visual Kei. After that I headed over to their after party where they had a coffee based drink called Awakening that I very much liked. I wandered around to some of the other parties too but I ended up spending most of my time either visiting with people in the smoking section (as usual) or at the Silent Nightmare party. Sunday I rocked the dealer room looking for bargains. I got an adorable new hat and two awesome necklaces and only spent $50 total, yay Sunday deals!!!

The most unexpected surprise of the weekend, however, came just as I was leaving. A very nice guy stopped me in the hallway and told me he liked the comic! That was really nice and totally made my weekend, so thank you, Guy-In-The-Purple-Wig! (Sorry I didn’t get your name, I was so surprised I didn’t know what to say ^_^O) Anyway, thanks Penguicon, good times all-round!
