Well, page 11 has been kicking my butt. The first panel is, shall we say… complicated. My apologies, but I’ll have to post late this week. I’d rather do that than just slop through to get it done and end up giving you something crappy looking. I’ll post the black and white version as soon as it’s finished and the color version will be up sometime tomorrow (Friday). Sorry for the delay, hopefully it’ll be worth it.

It’s kinda hard to believe I only started this comic two months ago.
C2E2 was really terrific, especially since the stars aligned and my writer, Joshua, wasn’t busy directing, writing, or staring in any theatrical performances so he could actually join me at the Con. We had a great time talking with people, checking out all the talented artists in Artists’ Alley and Webcomic Pavillion, and even got to do a couple interviews. But the most exciting thing by far was meeting people who’d actually heard of the comic already, we even got our first piece of fan art, YAY YAY! By the way, if you haven’t seen it yet click back one page, it’s posted in a place of glory between pages 9 and 10.
Well, I have to get back to work, more to come later today…
We just got our first piece of fan art today courtesy of the super cool Megan K. and I absolutely love it! Besides being adorable and really nice she’s also an up and coming young artist, her webcomic will be coming out soon. As you can tell from this picture she’s got a great sense of humor so I’m really looking forward to seeing it and you know I’ll be talking about it when it comes out!
So I think it goes without saying c2e2 is going awesome, I’ll tell you all about it when I’m not working on a dying computer. Until then, enjoy the awesomeness of Megan! ^_^
Hi all! Sorry this page is coming up a couple hours late. I’m in St. Louis this week for a wedding and between my ancient laptop and some wifi eccentricities it’s been slow going. But it is up nonetheless along with the extra special c2e2 password! If you happen to be at c2e2 next weekend please stop by the table and tell me the password to get your badge ribbon. Also if any of you happen to have gotten the special ribbons from the Tea Party of Terror remember, there’s no need to wait for the online store to come up (which is happening very soon, I promise) you can turn them in at c2e2 to claim your prize. Okay, going to bed finally… Enjoy page 9 and whatnot, bye bye!
I had a great time at Capricon this weekend. Big thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth and said hi, it’s really encouraging to hear that people are enjoying the comic. Also a big hello to all who are visiting for the first time! Now that I’ve got a bit of a respite before C2E2 I’m going to turn my attention to expanding the site: I’m planning on getting a store, more information, links and some super-secret fun stuff up in the coming weeks. I’d love to tell you more but honestly I’m falling asleep right now so until next time, ia ia cthulhu fhtagn!
Hey guys! Been crazy swamped with work this week so unfortunately I haven’t had time to color page 6 yet, but I figured you wouldn’t mind too terribly much if I posted the black and white version for now. Page 6 will appear in its full-color glory later on today. Until then!
Well, it’s been a crazy rush getting everything in order for my very first Lulu Cthulhu dealer table but it’s been worth the lack of sleep. We’ve got shirts, stickers and buttons related and completely unrelated to the comic. In addition I’ll be sharing the table with Randy Field, creator of the quirky and very funny webcomic, Problemtown. He’ll be featuring some of his own creations as well as writing Haiku of rare wisdom for all who ask. If you happen to be at Capricon this weekend stop by and say hi! If you mention this comic I’ll give you a badge ribbon… oooh, ribbons!
Hi everyone! Things have been a bit hectic lately. I’m preparing for my first ever dealer table at Capricon tomorrow and haven’t had time to finish coloring page 5. I didn’t wanna leave you hanging though, so here’s a black and white version for now. With luck I’ll have the color version up in a few hours. See ya then!
The much anticipated blizzard came and went here in Chicago. Having never been in a proper blizzard before I have to say I was kind of excited! That’s probably not the most correct emotional response but hey, it’s better than getting all freaked out about it. Most people seemed to fall into two categories: the aforementioned freaking out and “Eh, it’s winter in Chicago, whatever”. I stocked up on snacks from the largely ransacked grocery, watched the snow fall and finished up page 4. So here it is, the product of my snow day, hope you enjoy!
We celebrated the launch of the comic with a tea party Saturday night which was a lot of fun. We served up some ghoulish versions of tea party classics such as Cthulhu Cookies, adorable little green and pink marzipan made by Matt of Gozer Games, Eyeball Cookies and Lady Fingers shaped like actual fingers (courtesy of Jerry), and two of my favorite spiked teas. The room was packed and everyone seemed to have a great time, I know I did.
To my surprise Rob Balder of Erf World showed up with a box of exotic and delicious liquor to offer, but unfortunately in the chaotic rush of opening the party we couldn’t find a way to properly utilize his generosity. It all worked out in the end though as he ended up throwing an impromptu Proof Party for the Erf World graphic in his room. We stopped by later and enjoyed some of his delicious creations and I got a chance to check out the newly printed Erf World graphic, it looks terrific! Erf World is a hilarious fantasy epic, I find myself wondering why I hadn’t checked it out sooner, but I’m definitely picking up the graphic when it comes out at the end of February. I highly recommend checking it out: www.erfworld.com.
All in all a fun con and a terrific kickoff for the comic!
